“Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.” – Anthony Robbins

What is Performance Coaching?

Performance coaching is a means of accelerating a process of increasing and maximising performance in sport and other areas. It is a one-to-one collaboration between a client and coach and will result in improved focus and motivation leading to better performances and results.  During the coaching process a client will get a deep understanding of how they function internally and get the tools to manage themselves in the best possible way. It is the job of a coach to facilitate a process of learning in the client. The client will then find their own way to deal with a particular challenge. A coach should never give advice.

What does coaching involve?

Coaching involves one-to-one sessions which can be face to face or over the telephone. A coach is someone who sits outside of your experience and will enable you to take a different view of how you do what you do from a mental perspective. You will have the opportunity to question your beliefs around your challenges and to clearly understand why your goal is important to you. This is the path to major transitions in your mental approach.

How many sessions will I need?

This very much depends on the client and the subject being worked on. In our experience, 3-6 sessions will give a significant change. This is often all is needed as it becomes the launch pad for your continuing success.

Do you coach on the physical and technical aspects of sport?

No, we work purely with the mind of the athlete. It is often helpful to get a completely different perspective on a challenge. It is an advantage that we are not distracted by the technical aspects of sport.
